About the Lessons:
Each student gets one 11”x14” stretched, primed canvas
(paint, brushes and other materials are also provided).
As their subject, students can choose from a variety of
images i.e.landscapes, wildlife, flowers, etc. Students
are also encouraged to bring a picture of their own,
anything that inspires their creativity(photo copies
are suggested because the pictures often get draw on or
painted on). Because my classes are small each student
gets one on one instruction during the lesson. The students
learn how to properly use the materials. I demonstrate
different techniques with the brush. I teach the students
how to look their subject the way an artist would look at it,
observing the shapes and value (lights and darks)
